Victoria Guerrero
Official Pianist
The pianist Victoria Guerrero has been awarded the Franz Schubert Prize by the Franz Schubert Association of Barcelona, in addition to receiving the Extraordinary Jury Prize at the 2022 Internationaler Wettbewerb für Liedkunst Stuttgart. Previously, she had received distinctions such as Best Pianist at the Das Lied International Song Competition in Heidelberg (2017) and at the Paula-Salomon-Lindberg-Wettbewerb of the Berlin University of the Arts (2015).
Specialised in Lied after studying at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, Victoria has built a very active international career. She is a regular pianist at the Bonner-Schumannfest and has performed at festivals such as the Schubertíada de Vilabertrán, the Schubertíada de Valdegovía, the Lied Cycle of the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Teatro Arriaga, the International Lied Festival Zeist, and the Staatstheater Nürnberg.
In 2022 she released her first album, petiteMORT (Genuin Classic), and since 2021 she has been a pianist in the voice department of the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Austria).
Marc Serra
Official Pianist
Marc Serra is a pianist from Porqueres who combines his career as a soloist with an intense activity in the world of lied. Described as a musician who “seems to have a primary, respectful and intimate relationship with music, as if he understood it from the cortex and breathed life into it” (Diari Núvol), he has been praised for his absolute attention to timbre and his sensitivity in evoking sonic nuances, as highlighted by Revista Musical Catalana, which describes him as “subtle, sweet and tender.”
Marc made his solo debut at the age of 16 at the Auditori Palau de Congressos de Girona, performing with the Isaac Albéniz Conservatory Orchestra under the baton of Lluís Caballeria. Throughout his career, he has received awards in numerous national and international competitions. In 2017, he debuted at the Palau de la Música as part of the “El Primer Palau” series and has performed concerts across Spain and Switzerland in prestigious venues such as L’Auditori de Barcelona and the Grosser Saal of the Hochschule für Musik Basel, as well as at festivals including Nits de Clàssica and the Jalgi! Voz Festival in Vitoria.
As a lied pianist, he has had the opportunity to debut at renowned festivals such as the Schubertíada de Vilabertran, Toronto Summer Music, the Oxford Lieder Festival and LIFE Victoria Barcelona, performing in venues such as L’Auditori de Barcelona and the Palau de la Música. He has also worked as a collaborative pianist for the Victoria de los Ángeles Lied Master’s Program at ESMuC.
He pursued his piano studies in Barcelona with Maria Jesús Crespo and in Basel with Claudio Martínez Mehner. In addition, he has deepened his expertise in lied with Francisco Poyato and Anton Kernjak, while receiving guidance from renowned teachers such as Luiz de Moura Castro, Ferenc Rados, Hartmut Höll and Wolfram Rieger.
Marc has been awarded scholarships by the Fundació Güell (2015) and the Fundació Victòria de los Ángeles, with whom he collaborated on the recording of the CD Pau i Victòria. He currently works as a professor and répétiteur at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, in Juliane Banse’s vocal department, as well as at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu and the Conservatory of Badalona.
In January 2025, he made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of Renée Fleming’s SongStudio program.
