Stanislav Angelov
Official Pianist
A native of Bulgaria, he trained at the State Conservatory of Sofia. He was awarded the prize for Best Collaborative Pianist at the Boris Christoff Competition.
He worked as a répétiteur and vocal coach at the Opera of Catalonia from 2001 to 2009 and collaborated with La Scala on the production of West Side Story at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona.
At the Liceu, he has been invited to participate in several productions under the baton of Jesús López-Cobos, Yves Abel, Giuliano Carella, and Renato Palumbo.
Since the 2008–2009 season, he has been a member of the Palau de les Arts, where he has collaborated with such distinguished conductors as Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Plácido Domingo, Riccardo Chailly, Omer Meir Wellber, Gustavo Gimeno, Fabio Biondi, Roberto Abbado, Henrik Nánási, James Gaffigan, Maurizio Benini, and Sir Mark Elder.
He has also worked with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra at the invitation of Gustavo Gimeno.
David-Huy Nguyen-Phung

Born in 1992 in Montpellier (France) and Vietnamese of origin, David-Huy NGUYEN-PHUNG began his musical studies at the age of 6 at the “Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional” in Montpellier. At the age of 13, he made a wonderful meeting with the pianist and pedagogue Aldo Ciccolini who will advise and guide him in his artistic training during 9 years.
Very concerned about diversity and multidisciplinary in his career and training as an artist, he entered the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris” in 2009 and perfected his skills in various musical fields (piano, fortepiano, harpsichord, clavichord, chamber music, accompaniment, chorus and orchestra direction, harmony...) with illustrious teachers such as Michel Béroff, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Denis Pascal, Bertrand Chamayou, Patrick Cohen, Anne Le Bozec, Emmanuel Olivier, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Érika Guiomar, Nathalie Dang, George Pehlivanian, Alain Altinoglu, Alexandre Piquion, Catherine Simonpietri and Lionel Sow.
David-Huy performs on stage as a solo pianist but also in chamber groups (instrumental and vocal repertoire) and participates in numerous festivals in several countries (Germany, Austria, United States, France, Italy, Vietnam...). He collaborates with several major institutions such as the “Philharmonie de Paris”, “Cité de la Musique” in Paris, the “Corum” in Montpellier (notably as part of the Festival de Radio-France Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon in 2010) and Ho-Chi-Minh-City Opera House in Vietnam.
From 2013 to 2019, he is pianist repetiteur at the “Chœur de l’Armée Française” and “Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine” in Paris and gives numerous concerts in France with these two military ensembles (lyrical and symphonic repertoire). From 2018 to 2019, he is chorusmaster at the “Conseil d’État” in Paris, before becoming titular assistant chorusmaster and pianist at the ”Gran Teatre del Liceu” in Barcelona in 2019, currently under the direction of the chorusmaster Pablo Assante and musical director Josep Pons.
In the field of opera, he regularly prepares soloists and ensembles (as correpetitor and chorusmaster) and collaborates in numerous productions of the common lyrical repertoire and creations with renowned conductors such as Daniel Harding, Pablo Heras Casado, François-Xavier Roth, Gustavo Dudamel, John Adams, Susanna Mälkki, Riccardo Frizza, Henrik Nánási and Giampaolo Bisanti.
Marcos Madrigal

He has given recitals and, as a soloist, concerts with orchestra at venues such as the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Auditorio Parco della Musica in Rome, and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Claudio Abbado and Leo Brouwer.
He is the winner of numerous international competitions, and in 2012 he was awarded the prestigious “Medaglia D’oro Maison des Artistes” International Prize, granted by the Association of Culture, Art, Science, and Social Commitment of the city of Rome. Among his recent recordings are Prokofiev Vol.1 (Artalinna) and the monographic album dedicated to composer Ernesto Lecuona, Cuba, highly acclaimed by critics and recognized with awards such as the Choc de Classica (France), the Cubadisco 2016, the Melómano de Oro (Spain), and Diapason's 5 Stars (France).
He has also recorded live concerts and radio programs for prestigious broadcasters around the world, including the BBC, Radio Vaticano, RSI, Radio Suisse Romande, and Italy’s Rai Radio 3, which in 2013 aired a five-part documentary about his life titled Piano Libre – The Other Music of Cuba.
Since 2017, he has been the Artistic Director of the Habana Clásica International Music Festival.
Astrid Steinschaden

Austrian pianist Astrid Steinschaden was born in Salzburg, where she received her musical training under professors Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Cordelia Hofer-Teutsch, soon specializing in chamber music in all possible formations, as well as in instrumental and vocal accompaniment, covering a wide range of repertoire.
She received valuable guidance from Sergei Dorensky, Stanislav Pochekin, Elisabeth Leonskaja, among others. She has performed in Europe and the United States in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, among many others. She has been awarded multiple prizes in national and international competitions, both as a soloist and as an accompanist.
She currently resides in Barcelona, where she collaborates regularly with the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the OBC (Barcelona Symphony Orchestra), and combines her teaching position at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) with an extensive artistic career. She regularly accompanies instrumental and vocal masterclasses, working with renowned professors such as Luciana Serra, Nelly Miricioiu, and many others.
